Every great adventure story has essential components such as a village in trouble, a damsel in distress, definitely a good car chase, a villain, and of course an unexpected hero. Even in this day and age, all those facets still apply.
Of course, this particular story is true. I want to offer you a unique perspective into a world where the injustice is frequent and unapologetically out in the open.
After I was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gherigh’s disease) in January 2018, I was compelled to speak openly about my own experiences in this new disabled world, and seated world I was unceremoniously shoved into.
Fortunately it’s not all doom and gloom. There are bright spots along the way – Silver linings, revenge, wrongs made right, and even comeuppances.
I thank you for joining me on this journey, however long it will last.
